Almost a year ago, on July 18, 2009, our little family officially started!
What a beautiful, perfect day. I don't think we could have asked for any more love, support, or sunshine.
Surrounded by family from both sides...
and lots of wonderful friends,
we were married in a lovely little garden in Carrollton, GA.
Ethan was our "ring bear" and played the part perfectly.
I am so thankful to have found the perfect husband for me and father for our family and I can't wait for the rest of our lives together!!!
So, in the past year, James has proven his amazing intelligence by graduating with his Master's in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech,
we froze our tushes off and had so much fun in Nebraska visiting Lisa's sister Marianne and brother-in-law Dave,
spent a warmish, delightful Christmas in Hilton Head, NC with James' entire family,
we were overwhelmed with joy to find out that we will be having a little one join our family in August,
and even happier to see that baby is growing well and apparently she is a girl (!),
I survived and enjoyed nursing school and am now an official RN,
and we just moved to a cute little apartment in Marietta, GA (pictures to come as soon as I get boxes put away)!
James is still busy busy going to school at GT (he just can't get enough!) and working hard trying to please his advisor. What a smart, hard-working guy he is! I, on the other hand, am pleased to be spending the rest of this pregnancy making our apartment feel like home, catching up on many neglected things, cooking, reading, getting ready for baby, and just loving being pregnant. There's nothing like carrying her around with me all day, feeling her kick and grow, and thinking about how much joy she will bring to our family.
Ethie-man has been in Ohio for a few weeks and we have missed him so much! It's too, too quiet around here without his excitement and energy. I go get him next week and I can't wait. Here are a few pictures from pre-k last year...
He looks way too grown-up! I can't believe he will be 5 on July 22 and start Kindergarten. We love our Ethan!
Okay, I think that's about it! We love to stay in touch with family and friends and this seems like a good way to do it. Hope you are all well! Love!
Lisa (and James and Ethan and soon-to-be-disclosed-publicly little girl)... what a sweet and wonderful way to share your lives. Thanks SO much for sharing life with us, not just through the blog but in many other ways too. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Dad

I'm so happy you got a blog; it'll be fun to follow you and your family. I can't believe we're due just weeks apart--isn't it fun seeing the baby bounce around in the little widget? I can't wait to read and see more how you are doing. Good luck with blogging!
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa! I am sooooo excited for you. You and your blog are absolutely beautiful! I could only hope to be HALF as beautiful as you are when I am pregnant one day. You are just glowing! Congrats again and I can't wait until you post again, hopefully when the little one arrives!
